Woodworth Foral: Why I’m running for Eagle Town Council

I was born and raised here in Eagle, graduated from Eagle Valley High School, and attended Colorado State University, where I received a bachelor’s degree in sociology. I also hold graduate/mastery certificates in coaching.
After graduating from CSU, I returned home where I met my husband, Todd. After living in Gypsum for several years, our family was thrilled to be able to return to Eagle, where we love the unparalleled access to open space, and the high degree of walkability and bikeability that we’re so fortunate to have here in Eagle. I’ve worked for Alpine Bank’s loan team for years, and love working for a company that’s committed to our community.
When I’m not attending activities for my kids, my family and I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside. I love camping, boating, hiking and biking on Eagle’s fantastic trail system, reading, baking, crafting, and studying Human Design. I volunteer as a board member of Mountain Tots Preschool, where my fellow board members and I successfully facilitated an off-market purchase transaction and are working on a large capital campaign so that the children of our town have expanded access to excellent child care. I spend time each year as an adopt-a-trail volunteer with my co-workers at Alpine Bank, and had the privilege of serving as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner prior to being appointed to council in May.
Growing up in Eagle provides me with what I believe to be a unique perspective on the community. I have a deep appreciation and respect for the town’s roots and where we’ve come from, how our town has changed (and how it hasn’t), and all the ways in which we as a community continue to make Eagle an excellent place to live, recreate and raise families. I am passionate about supporting local businesses, long-term planning initiatives, land use, our open space and trail system, soil health, regenerative agriculture and landscaping techniques, the health of our watershed, and capital 久久热精品视频app/infrastructure. Most of all, I care deeply about supporting the events and causes that bring the members of our community closer together.
I’m proud of what our team has accomplished in the short time that I’ve been on council. The ReCode project, Third Street Housing, and 久久热精品视频app made to our staff’s compensation package are just a few of the things we’ve achieved in the past several months.
Support Local Journalism
Should I be elected, I look forward to continuing the planning and execution of the Grand Avenue Corridor expansion, completing and implementing our proposed e-bike policies, Open Space Master Plan, and expanding the scope of our Net Zero 2030 initiatives.
Our current council works well together, is excellent at seriously considering the opinions and commentary of all council members, and is well poised to continue to advocate for and achieve great things for the citizens of our amazing town. I humbly ask for your vote on Nov. 7, and encourage the voters of Eagle to support Nick Sunday and Bryan K. Woods on election day.
